Our Mission
The mission of Friends of the Historic Farmers Bank, the 1817 building which originally housed the Petersburg branch of the Farmers Bank of Virginia, is to preserve the integrity of the building, to maintain and enhance its physical condition, and to make the building available to individuals and groups as a means to educate them on banking, commerce, architecture, and life in Petersburg in the first half of the 19th Century.
